Birth of an idea

Vincent, Berlin, and the AI Awakening

On 9th November 1989, the Berlin Wall was breached. Two days later, my friend Alex and I arrived in Berlin, detouring from a trip to Amsterdam to witness history firsthand. The atmosphere was tense, surreal - like a John Le Carré novel. At the Wall, with a borrowed hammer and chisel, I chipped away and secured my piece of history. That moment planted a creative seed.

From it, Vincent Squirrel was born - a rebellious, artistic red squirrel. Though I pursued the idea in my twenties, even pitching to the BBC and HIT Entertainment, it never quite landed. The manuscript was shelved. Until December 2024.

On a whim, I described Vincent to ChatGPT. Moments later, there he was - red beret, red scarf, glint in his eye. Over the next two weeks, I wrote a trilogy. That creative awakening reignited my passion and opened my eyes to the sheer power of AI for a creative practitioner like me.

Rather than continue with two separate studios, I’ve launched jeto - a new entity to meet the moment. Inspired by speed, creativity, and momentum, Jeto blends branding, storytelling and technology with bold intent.

The future beckons. Jeto is my ticket aboard the bullet train. You're invited to ride with me.
